The Coronavirus Pandemic Has Presented to us The ‘World’s Largest Work-From-Home Experiment’
For starters, I would like to pray for all those suffering from and at risk of the Coronavirus.
Since its rapid spread, the Coronavirus has not only left many dead but has also brought forth an experiment that we might talk about for centuries to come — ‘The world’s largest work-from-home experiment.’
Although some service involved companies that involve tangible goods and physical contact have been greatly affected in the areas the virus is active, for online related companies, and solution providers, this has been and will always be the greatest learning curve.
With many people currently working from home or like many like to call it, ‘working remotely’, “employees for thousands of businesses with operations in China, including Google, Facebook, and Apple are working from home.”
Many people have come out to say that the extra traffic could be the reason as to why DingTalk (Alibaba’s), and Tecent’s WeChat Work even crashed on Monday. This literally means that people in China are today embracing the power of working from home and not the office.
For many years, companies have been accustomed to the ritual/habit of having every employee in office at all times, all day, all week — this right here is pointing us in the direction of effective work and productivity even when the employees are not in office.
